SPRAY
Spray horse down after workout as a preventative method to help alleviate rain rot and girth itch. Corigem® been found to be relaxing and soothing for muscle soreness.

Spray area with skin disease, scratches, ringworm or any skin issue 3 times per day. Let it dry, and then use the cream on any scabby areas or open wounds. The spray will be absorbed quickly

Spray down (reins, yoke, etc.) equipment that may have come in contact with any affected skin area. Trainers have found it works well to cut down on cross contamination in case you have a horse with a contagious skin issue.

Soak horses legs in water diluted with liquid Corigem® for cuts, abrasions, scratches or just general soreness.

 

CREAM
Corigem® cream coats the affected area. Use the cream on cracked hooves. First wash with betadine soap. Then flush out well with water, dry, then apply Corigem® cream 3 times per day.

Other applications include:

AURAL PLAQUES
Spray Corigem® onto a clean gauze and gently clean the ear 2 to 3 times a day. Apply cream to any visible sores. Although the ear might improve in a few days, continue use for a full 7 days.

CRACKED HOOVES
Use Corigem® cream on cracked hooves. First wash with betadine soap. Then flush out well with water, dry, then apply Corigem® cream 3 times per day. Soak gauze in liquid Corigem®. Insert the gauze into the frog area and wrap. You can change the wrap as needed, at least every other day.

FUNGUS
Spray affected area 2 to 3 times a day , after the spray dries apply a dab of cream to any areas that have an open sore or wound.  As a preventative, spray animals down after a workout on a daily basis. Be sure to clean all equipment used on infected animals and spray with Corigem®. Trainers have found it works well to cut down on cross contamination in case you have a horse with a contagious skin issues. With scratches it may take much longer depending on the severity and the strength of the animals immune system. If not treated, it can become complicated by a bacterial infection which may require oral antibiotics as well as Corigem® treatment. For infections and fungus of the ear, spray Corigem® onto a clean gauze and gently clean the ear 2 to 3 times a day. Apply cream to any visible sores. Although the ear might improve in a few days, continue use for a full 7 days.

INFECTIONS
Spray 2 to 3 times daily for 1 to 2 weeks, .apply cream to scabbed areas or any open wounds to aid in the healing process.. With Dry Land Distemper or Pigeon Fever You may need to shave the area and apply with a poultice or compress if possible in the affected area. If not possible,  use cream three to four times a day and call a vet if the infection persists. With Rain Rot put animal in a dry,  well vented area,  shave the affected area and clean very well once daily with an antibacterial soap. Let soap soak for ten minutes, rinse and dry thoroughly. Soften scabs with Corigem® cream and remove scabs when possible. Along with the cleaning, treat with Corigem® twice daily. In severe cases oral  antibiotics may be required. Be sure to clean all equipment that may have come in contact with any affected skin area and spray with liquid Corigem®.

MANGE
Since mange is usually a combination of external and internal problems caused by mites and a compromised immune system, a visit to your veterinarian should be your first step in helping your equine combat mange. Once your veterinarian has prescribed an oral medicine, you can then begin to use Corigem spray on your horses skin. We recommend using Corigem® spray 2 to 3 times daily, after the spray dries apply cream to all areas  until symptoms disappear. Once the mange clears,continue to  apply cream to scabbed areas to aid in the healing process and in the rapid regrowth of hair.

MUD FEVER
First clean the area and clip away the hair before use. Apply Corigem® cream once the area is dry. Rub Corigem® cream into the scabs and reapply everyday before working with your horse. Corigem® won’t act as a mud barrier if the horse is in bad mud, but it will really help with actual mud fever.

RINGWORM
Spay affected area 2 to 3 times a day , after the spray dries apply cream do this  for 10 to 14 days or until symptoms disappear.  To accelerate re-growth of hair loss Corigem® cream may be applied to affected area.

SKIN ALLERGIES
Apply spray twice daily. ,after the spray dries , use cream If. While it doesn't eliminate the animal's allergy, the product helps soothe the symptoms. The length of time it will take to soothe the skin will depend on how bad the allergy is and the strength of the animal's immune system.

SWEET ITCH
If your equine has an internal condition of sweet itch you should first see a veterinarian. Once the internal condition is treated, you can then begin the use of Corigem® spray on your horses skin. If your equine only has an external problem, you can begin the use of Corigem® spray immediately to help with irritation and scratching. If the sweet itch is really bad and the horse has sores, we recommend applying Corigem® cream 2 to 3 times a day to help with healing. As a preventative, you should spray your horse with liquid Corigem® from mid march onwards to prevent the onset of the sweet itch scratching.

THRUSH & HOOF ABSCESSES
Soak gauze in liquid Corigem®. Insert the gauze into the frog area and wrap. You can change the wrap as needed, at least every other day.

WOUNDS & BURNS
Apply Corigem® cream or spray 2 to 3 times a day to affected areas until desired results are obtained. Works very well on post surgical sites.. Soak horses legs in water diluted with liquid Corigem® for cuts, abrasions, scratches or just general soreness.
